About usLincoln General Surgery Residency is an ACGME accredited 5- year surgery program based at NYC Health and Hospitals/Lincoln, a city hospital in the South Bronx and a busy Level 1 trauma center. Located in the poorest congressional district in the country, we take pride in providing high quality care to a systematically disenfranchised patient population. Our emergency room is consistently one of the top 10 busiest ERs in the country (#3 this year), giving our residents a robust trauma and emergency general surgery experience. This is supplemented with a diverse tertiary care experience at nearby referral centers, including Columbia-New York Presbyterian, Memorial Sloan Kettering, and Montefiore-Jacobi.
